In order to commemorate the Birth centenary (2000AD) of Dr. Syamaprasad Mukherjee,Ex-ViceChancellor,C.U. SIAE(Syamaprasad Institute Of Advanced Education) has been initiated and floated by distinguished social elites, academicians,industry-stalwarts in assistance with Syamaprasad College, Kolkata, for augmentation of Technological Education and allied social services in the state of West Bengal. The SIET (Syamaprasad Institute of Education and Training) had started with the recognition and approval from NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and affiliation from Calcutta University since 2007-08 sessions. The institute came into existence with its auspicious inauguration on August 9, 2007.
